Qualitative Analysis Using Near - Infrared Spectroscopy A Comparison of Discriminant 6 Methods in Dissolution Testing

چکیده
The bootstrap error -adjusted s ingle-sample technique IBESTl is shown to per form bet ter than the Mahalanobis d is tance met ric in qualitative near-M analysis. The BEST algorithm is designed for high-speed parallel processing supercomputers, but is also shown to operate efficiently on sing le processors. Using hypothet ica l multivariate data, the bias and RSD of the BEST and Mahalanobis metr ics were compared as a function of the number of dimensions in hyperspace and the number of training samples in the calibration set. Full near-M spectra of intact pharmaceutical tablets were analyzed successfully using the BEST to predict the tablet dissu lution rate. The BEST metric is calculated more rapidly and more precisely than the Mahalanobis metric when full near4R spectra are employed in qualitat ive ana lys is .

Comparison of visible-near infrared and mid-infrared spectroscopy for classification of Huanglongbing and Citrus Canker infected leaves
In this study, visible-near infrared spectroscopy and mid-infrared spectroscopy were compared to evaluate their applicability in classifying citrus leaves infected with canker and Huanglongbing (HLB) from healthy citrus leaves. The visible-near infrared spectra in the range 350-2,500 nm and mid-infrared spectra in the range of 5.15-10.72 μm were collected from healthy and diseased (canker, HLB)...
متن کاملDetermining Blood Glucose Concentration using Near Infrared Spectroscopy: Early Findings
Introduction: Diabetes mellitus is one of the diseases that have grown dramatically in today's societies. People with diabetes should continuously measure their blood glucose level. Continuous blood glucose measurement by commonly used methods is painful and difficult. On the other hand, mobile phone can be a useful tool for accessing physicians and telemedicine services more easily. The aim of...
متن کاملNeuro - Fuzzy and Multivariate Statistical Classi cation of Fruit Popula - tions Based on Visible - Near Infrared Spectrophotometry
Variations in fruit development can aaect fruit composition, maturity, storage attributes and sensory properties. While these have major importance to the horticultural industry, there is a lack of suitable tools for discriminating between fruit. Visible-near infrared (VNIR) reeectance spectroscopy collects a large volume of data rapidly and non-destructively at any stage of development. The po...

متن کاملNovel Application of Near-infrared Spectroscopy and Chemometrics Approach for Detection of Lime Juice Adulteration
The aim of this study is to investigate the novel application of a handheld near infra-red spectrophotometer coupled with classification methodologies as a screening approach in detection of adulterated lime juices. For this purpose, a miniaturized near infra-red spectrophotometer (Tellspec®) in the spectral range of 900–1700 nm was used. Three diffuse reflectance spectra of 31 pure...
